Build a Pedestrian Bridge over Fairy Creek - End the Thompson Incest Cult!

Fernie Mountain Bike Club - Thu, 05/27/2010 - 14:09

For anyone who has attempted to cross the Fairy Creek Bridge heading out to ride Swine Flu and the other Procter mountain trails, or to get to Dicken Road and the Chamber of Commerce. You know that it is a death trap. No raised sidewalk, and oncoming traffic coming around a blind corner.

Many residents who live out Dicken Road way, especially those with children, have been writing to government encouraging them to build a pedestrian crossing on the westbound side of this bridge.

This has fallen on deaf ears.

The families have even went as far as building their own makeshift underpass to try to create a safe option for crossing this bridge.

Write to - Kareen.Peters@gov.bc.ca and cityhall@fernie.ca and ask them to build a bridge for pedestrians before someone gets hurt!
